Adjusting Date Ranges
Mastering Date Range Customization: Optimizing Dashboard Views and Widgets for specific periods.
Adjusting the date range for an overall view/dashboard:
Step 1: Navigate to the dashboard header section and click on the period dropdown arrow.
Step 2: Use the dropdown menu to select from various time frame options, allowing a look back of up to 2 years.
Note: When opting for "Last 2 years," ensure the "Exclude today" box is checked to avoid encountering an error message.
You can also choose custom dates by selecting "Custom Dates."
To compare against another period, access the dropdown menu under "Compare to:" and select from default options or input custom dates.
Step 3: Click on "Confirm" once your selections are finalized.
Step 4: If you wish for this period to remain for this specific dashboard view every time the dashboard is viewed, be sure to select "Save View" at the top right in the dashboard header.
Adjusting the date range for a specific widget:
Step 1: Choose the "Settings" icon on the widget where you want to specify a date period.
Step 2: Enable the "Period" toggle.
Step 3: Use the dropdown menu to adjust the desired date ranges.
Step 4: Close the panel by clicking the "X" in the top-right corner. The widget's data will automatically update to reflect the selected period.
Step 5: To maintain this period for the specific widget each time the dashboard is accessed, ensure to click "Save View" at the top right of the dashboard header.
