The Data Source Refresh History page and Manual Data Source Refresh function allow you to monitor refresh statuses and manually refresh specific data sources as needed.
This ensures that exports and reports contain the most up-to-date information available across your connected platforms.
Data Source Refresh History
- Displays a complete log of cache refresh activity for each connected data source.
- Shows the timestamp of each refresh attempt and whether it was successful or failed.
- Lists multiple refresh entries per data source, since different data segments may refresh on different schedules.
Manual Data Source Refresh
- Allows you to manually trigger a refresh for any selected data source.
- Pulls the most recent available data directly from the platform before exports or reports are generated.
- Helps ensure that exports contain the freshest available data even if a previous scheduled refresh was unsuccessful.
How Data Refreshing Works in Adriel
- Adriel refreshes cached data sources automatically at scheduled intervals.
- Different data components may refresh at different rates depending on API limits and data types (some every 3 hours, some every 24 hours).
- If a cache refresh fails before an export runs, the export pulls from the most recently available cached data.
- Manual refresh gives you full control to ensure data is current before exporting.
Accessing Data Source Refresh History
- Go to the Connectors page.
- Scroll to the bottom and select Data Source Refresh History.
- Review refresh activity and trigger manual refreshes as needed.
Notes for BI and Marketing Channels
- For BI users, this feature operates separately from the Refresh Data or Refresh Architecture buttons in BI dashboards.
- Triggering a manual refresh does not impact BI structures and may provide even more up-to-date data for channels using cached data.
- For marketing channels that fetch data live from platform APIs, refresh history does not apply, as data is pulled directly at the time of query.
