How to connect File from Email to Adriel

Detailed instructions to help you set up the data source for File from Email

What is supported

- CSV file uploading automation is supported with this connector. 

- Refresh schedule: Twice a day, 1 am and 1 pm (KST)

Prerequisite

- Any email account to send files to Adriel 

  • If the email account domain ends with ".ai"
    • If integrated with ".com": enter the email with the changed domain of ".com" at Step 2-(3)
    • If not integrated with ".com": please use a different email account that does not end with ".ai" 

Instructions 

  1. Send one email to  automation-#####@adriel.ai beforehand with the email address you will use for automated uploads, where the "#####" refers to your workspace ID found in your URL after "accountID=" or "userAccountId=". For example:

    https://app.adriel.com/#/connection?accountId=#####&userAccountId=#####...
  2. Move to Adriel's Connections page.
  3. Type "File from Email" into the search bar.

  4. Fill in the "Sender's Email Address" and click "Submit"
    1. If there are multiple, separate each with a comma
  5. Fill in the "File Delivery Type" 
    1. Attachment
      1. Select this option if the CSV file is included directly in the email.
    2. Download Link
      1. Select this option if he CSV file is provided as a link inside the email body.
      2. If you select this option, the sending platform must whitelist our static proxy IP (3.37.49.210). Without whitelisting, the file cannot be downloaded.
  6. In the next step, fill in the "Name" for the data source and choose "File Type" that will be sent through email. 
    1. Name: Any distinguishable name that you will see on the dashboard for this data source. 
    2. File Type: Currently, only CSV is available.
  7. (Optional) Fill in the "Alternative Channel Name" if you would like to customize the channels display name
  8. (Optional) Attach an "Alternative Channel Icon" if you would like to customize the icon displayed   
  9. (Optional) Fill in the "File Name to Filter" and click "Submit".  
    1. The value can be a word found within the file name that is used to filter the correct file.
    2. Ensure accurate capitalization (upper/lower case) for optimal results.
  10. (Optional) Fill in the "Header row" if the data within the file being sent does not start at row 1.
    1. Enter the row number where the column headers are.  
  11. (Optional) Fill in the "Data Update Method" to decide the method of data storage
    1. Append : Adds the new file's data to the end of the existing table. This is the default method.
    2. Replace : Completely replaces the existing saved table with the table from the new file.
    3. Upsert : Users the required "Unique Identifier Columns" field to defined how to merge the data. If a matching value already exists, that row is updated. If it does not exist, a new row is added. 
  12. The data source setting is done. Since the refresh schedule is twice a day, please wait until 1 am/1 pm (KST) to refresh all the files sent to Adriel via email. 

Unique rules for sending files and their usage

  • Size Limitation
    • Google email API has a limitation of 25MB per email. So, please ensure that the total file size of added attachments per email does not exceed 25MB
