How to connect Instagram Public

Detailed instructions to help you set up the data source for Instagram Public

Prerequisites

  • Facebook page Account
  • Instagram Professional account (Business or Influencer) connected to Facebook Page.

    If you don’t have either of prerequisites, go to step 1.

    If you have both, move to step 2.

Instructions

Step 1: Setting up Facebook page and Instagram account.

  1. Create a Facebook Page.
  2. Create a Professional Instagram account.
  3. Connect the Instagram account to the Facebook page.
  4. Accept all permissions to proceed. 

Step 2: Connecting Instagram Public to Adriel

  1. Move to Adriel’s Connections page.
  2. Type “Instagram Public” into the search bar.
  3. Click “Sign in with Google” when the pop-up window opens.
  4. Fill in four mandatory fields below accordingly to the account that you want to connect to at Data Source setting.
    - Facebook Page: Facebook Page you want to connect to.
    - Instagram account: Instagram account you want to connect to.
    - Instagram accounts to fetch data from: Channel ID from the last part of channel URL

    You can connect multiple channel IDs by putting ‘,’(comma) at the end of the channel id. The number of Channels is limited to 50.
    Ex) channel1,channel2,channel3

    - Human readable name: Name for your datasource. Any identifiable name is sufficient.
  5. Click the “Submit” button below to complete the data connection.

    It can take up to one working day for your data to arrive. 

Troubleshooting

Getting error when loading data after connection

  1. Move to Facebook business setting and delete permissions for Adriel.
  2. Wait 15 minutes for data processing.
  3. Open the view that contains Facebook and Instagram data sources.
  4. Wait 15 minutes for data processing.
  5. Move to Adriel’s Connection page.
  6. Click “connect again” next to Facebook and Instagram data sources which are disconnected.
