How to connect MongoDB to Adriel
Detailed instructions to help you set up the data source for MongoDB

Instructions
Step 1: Editing MongoDB setting
- Login to MongoDB platform.
- Move to [Network Access] tab on the left menu bar.
- Click [+ ADD IP ADDRESS] to add Adriel's IP address.
- Type "52.79.160.224" into the “Access List Entry” and click “Confirm” to proceed.
- Click [Database Access] tab on the left menu bar to edit user settings.
- Click the “Edit” button under the “actions” column on the very right to access the [Add New Database User] page.
- Edit the setting as below and click “Add User” at the bottom right.
- Set ‘Authentication Method’ as ‘Password.’
- The ‘Password Authentication’ key is up to your decision but please keep in mind that it will be required for sharing at step 3. It is recommended to save it for later use.
- Set the ‘Built-in Role’ as ‘Atlas admin.’
Step 2: Finding database URL on the MongoDB UI
- Login to MongoDB platform.
- Move to the [Database] tab on the left menu bar and click “Connect.”
- Click “Compass.”
- Features under "2. Copy the connection string, then open MongoDB Compass" is the database URL.
Step 3: Connecting MongoDB to Adriel
- Move to Adriel’s Connections page.
- Type “MongoDB” into the search bar.
- Fill in the URL found at step 2. Password is the key used at step 1 no.7.
- Choose one database and collection(s) for connection.
Only one database (multiple collections) is allowed per connection. If you want to connect more than two, repeat the step 3.
- Optional configuration is possible. If wanted, fill in the "Alternative Channel Name."
- No icon is provided as a default for this feature. However, there are channels that can use internally saved icons and display next to the channel name you just wrote down.
- Refer to this guide to input the correct name to display the icon.

- (Optional) Fill in the"File Name to Filter."

- Click the “Submit” button below to complete the data connection.
