How to connect Semrush to Adriel

Step 1: Requesting Semrush API Key

  1. Log in to the Semrush account
  2. Click your [Account/Profile] in the right upper corner.
  3. Click the [Subscription info] tab on the left.
  4. Move to the [API Units] section next to Summary/Billing info/Payments. 
    1. Direct link to [API Units]
  5. Copy the [API Key].
    1. Refer to this Semrush article regarding copying an API Key
  6. Copy the API key and store it for Step 2. 

Step 2: Connecting Semrush to Adriel

  1. Move to Adriel's Connections page.
  2. Type "Semrush" into the search bar.

  3. Fill in the 2 required fields according to the account that you want to connect to Adriel.
    Then, click "Submit" to proceed.
    1. API Key: Fill in the API key retrieved in Step 1. 
    2. Report type: Choose one type of report from the drop-down list.
      1. There are 77 types of reports and in order to have several reports, repeat again from Step 2. 
  4. Fill in the required or optional fields according to the selected report type. 
    1. Example fields
      Name: Fill in an identifiable name for the datasource.
      Target: Array of domains, subdomains, and subfolders separated by commas. The maximum number of targets is 200.
      - Display Date: Pick a date from the date picker. If selected, data from this date up to the most recent will be retrieved to initialize the connector after the data source is connected, with new data being added over time as it becomes available. If not selected, only data with the default date settings will be accessible.
  5. Click the “Submit” button below to complete the data connection.
